Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 40 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and four others were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 31, 2018.

The Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire mainly from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at the defenders of the towns of Svitlodarsk, Avdiyivka and Maryinka, and the villages of Krymske, Travneve, Novhorodske, Maiorsk, Opytne, Novomykhailivka, Novotroyitske, Kamianka, Pisky, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Hnutove and Shyrokyne. In addition, the enemy fired 120mm and 82mm mortars three times at the Ukrainian positions near the village of Vodiane.

Since Tuesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted three attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Krymske, Svitlodarsk and Lebedynske.
