Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly has called on the United States to continue efforts to contribute to the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held in Russia.

"Ambassador Valeriy Chaly at the meeting with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Michael Kelleher called on the U.S. for continues [sic] support to the cause of releas e of Oleg Sentsov and all Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held in Russia," the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States wrote on Facebook late on Monday, July 30.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the U.S. Department of State called on Russia to free the illegally sentenced Ukrainian nationals, Oleh Sentsov, Stanislav Klykh, Oleksandr Shumkov, and Volodymyr Balukh.
