Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 45 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two as wounded in action (WIA).

"According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and another four wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 10, 2018.

< p>Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Novozvanivka, Troyitske, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Starohnativka, Novomykhailivka, Bohdanivka, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne. Occupiers also used 82mm mortars shelling the Ukrainian defenders near Novoluhanske, Hnutove and Lebedynske. An enemy sniper group was active near Maryinka.

"Since Friday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted four attacks on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Opytne, Novomykhailivka, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne. No heavy weapons were used. There have been no casualties among the Ukrainian military since day-start," the report says.
