Russian-led forces mounted 26 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the last 24 hours.

"No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported in the past day. According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 14, 2018.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of S vitlodarsk and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Krymske, Vilniy, Katerynivka, Stepne, Troyitske, Novoluhanske, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.

In addition, the enemy resorted to 120mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske and Lebedynske, while those near Vilniy, Troyitske, Svitlodarsk and Lebedynske came under fire from 82mm mortars.

Moreover, last night the invaders cynically fired 120mm and 82mm mortars at Chermalyk and Shyrokyne. The shelling was carried out from the territory of the occupied villages of Verkhnioshyrokivske and Sakhanka. The consequences and extent of destruction are now being assessed by the Ukrainian members of the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination (JCCC) of the ceasefire and stabilization in Donbas, as well as OSCE SMM monitors.

"Since Sunday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted three attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Krymske, Hnutove and Shyrokyne, using gre nade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. No heavy weapons have been used. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded," reads the report.
